The war between drones and helicopters in Ukraine

.ON JULY 31ST photos of a Russian Mi-8 transportation helicopter, collapsed and also burning, began flowing on social networks. That in itself was certainly not uncommon: Ukrainian pressures have shot down ratings of choppers since the Russian invasion started. Much more unusual was the insurance claim in the Ukrainian push that this helicopter had actually been downed by a small drone. A video released by the country's militaries a handful of times later on appeared to give credence to that case: the video footage (see below) reveals a drone striking one more Russian aircraft, this time around an Mi-28 strike helicopter, supposedly requiring it to create an urgent landing.
